Ray Shepardson has been guiding communities in the restoration of historic movie palaces for nearly three decades. He has been working with the Kenosha Theater restoration project for a few years while we try to mobilize community action to see our grand movie palace restored. In most communities, there are those who either think they "know better" or truly believe that there is no proof that a restored theatre can revitalize aging buisiness districts and breathe new life into a community. This site shows the pages of a book that I put together that show the highlights of Ray's career. When you look at all of the opulent interiors that Ray has some had in helping to save. You will begin to understand that it is a career like no other. Being involved in saving just one of these magnificent giants for my community is an awesome enough proposition.
